Apply for the CleanTech Innovation Challenge: Morocco, Africa

Top clean tech innovators in Morocco are encouraged to take part in an intensive accelerator for training, mentorship and networking experiences to help further their innovation.

Supported by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by VentureWell, the program includes two in-person workshops in Casablanca, Morocco: December 5-8, 2016 and January 16-20, 2017.

Spaces are filling up quickly. The deadline for applications is November 1, 2016.

“The CleanTech Innovation Challenge in Morocco is not just another competition for business ideas. It is a first step towards a stronger collaboration between the U.S. and Morocco regarding environmental concerns, said Hayat Essakkati, CTIC program leader and Director of Maroc4Invest.

The program is designed for the following individuals:

Innovation Generation Track: individual innovators with ideas/projects in the clean/green energy sector. Apply at

Innovator Support Track: individuals from the government, private industry, or incubation/accelerator programs who can offer guidance for innovators. Apply at
Program Details

In addition to two in-person workshops, participants will have access to:

Training in customer discovery, value proposition, sector-specific innovation concerns, and other early entrepreneurial concepts
One-on-one mentorship

Four weeks of supplemental online training

During the final workshop, teams will pitch their innovations to an expert panel of judges. Three winning teams will receive $10k grants to further their idea or business. All participants will receive IAP Certification from VentureWell and enrollment in the VentureWell Development Portfolio (Investment Opportunity Pipeline or IOP) for one year.

Design their innovation’s value propositions
Determine their best customer segments
Determine their best partners
Understand financing for CleanTech
Pitch their innovation/company
